Detailed Directions

Our fair is located in a rural area; the Harmony School District borders the fair. The address is the town of Westover, but the fair is not located in the town. It is located approximately 4-5 miles from Westover. The fairgrounds are located on the ridge between Routes 36 and 219, in the southwest tip of Clearfield County.

From Altoona and Route 36 South of Westover: Take Rte. 36 North to Patton, PA; follow Rte. 36 North to Westover. Route 36 is the Main Street of the town of Westover. When you have traveled to almost the end of the town on 36, watch for the intersection of Rte. 36 and Harmony Rd. (large white house on corner on your right) a log cabin will be on the left; also a blue and white sign should have the Harmony Area Schools on it and you will turn left; traveling for approximately 3 miles up a steep winding road; at the T intersection of Harmony Rd. and Ridge Rd., turn right and follow the Ridge Rd. for 1 mile. The school complex will be on your right. The fair is located on both sides of Ridge Road, the pulling events are on the right, and the carnival, exhibits and vendors are on the left. The parking area is on the right.

From State College, Coalport, Irvona, Moshannon Valley and Philipsburg – Route 53: The shortest route is to utilize Rte. 322 to Philipsburg; then Rte. 53 South; Rte. 53 passes through the following towns: Osceola Mills, Houtzdale, (passing a landmark of the Moshannon Valley Schools on the left), Madera, Glen Hope, Irvona. Rte. 53 in Irvona bears to the left and you will see the Dollar General Store is straight ahead of you. Turn to the RIGHT onto Rose Street at this intersection (Dollar General). You will now be traveling on legislative routes and therefore a series of landmarks is required in the directions. Travel for approximately 1.5 miles to a T intersection; turn left (Glendale Sportsman’s Club is located on the left). This road is named Black Elk (SR 3014). Follow this twisting cow path for about 3 miles to the next T intersection; turn left onto Punkin Ridge Road. (A white church-McPherron will be located on your left after the turn). Take the first paved road to the right (North Camp Road) and follow it until you come to a stop sign. Turn right travel about 1/10th of a mile (white church on corner of this intersection) turn left onto Five Points Road (a Harmony Area Schools sign – blue and white should be located at this turn). Follow this road for 3.2 miles to a stop sign (T-intersection); Turn left onto Ridge Road and continue for 1 mile. The fair is located on both sides of Ridge Road, the pulling events are on the left, and the carnival, exhibits and vendors are on the right. The parking area is on the left.

From Tyrone: Route 453, North, to Glen Hope via Rte. 729; From Glen Hope follow the directions above taking Route 53 South to Irvona and turning right when you see the Dollar General store. You will then be on Rose Street. (See above)

From Route 219: Coming from Rte. 219, approx. 4 miles north of Cherry Tree, OR 3 miles south of Burnside (Rte 286 is at the end of Burnside), turn onto Harmony Road (state route # 3014). Travel about 3 miles up Harmony Road until you come to a T-intersection with a stop sign. The fair grounds are on your right at the stop sign. This is the road that will be bonded for heavy truck traffic the week of the fair, for the pulling events.
